Compsognathus is a genus of small carnivorous bipedal dinosaur native to the Land of the Lost. They are a bird-sized dinosaurs, mostly green in color having a yellow underbelly.
Packs roam the environs of the Land attacking what prey they can find. One pack passed encountered Rick Marshall's expedition as they were heading to their raft in attempt to appropriate it. Furious, Will Stanton threw rocks at them, but that did not force the to leave. Instead an ice cream truck appeared and crushed the raft, driven by hunger, the Compsognathus attacked the truck. They then fight over the truck and it's contents with a pack of Velociraptors. The Raptors repel them with their tails, until Grumpy arrive and scares them all away.
