Malak was a minor character in the Third and Last Season of Land of the Lost. He was played by well-known character actor Richard Kiel.

Personality and Appearance[]

Malak is quite evolved and possesses knowledge for more advanced for a Cro-Magnon, making him more on a Bronze Age level as he carried a sword and knew what a ship is. He was extraordinarily egotistical and selfish. but he also wasn't very smart and could be easily deceived. In addition, he spoke fluent English and fully understood the concept of time travel as he once asked Jack Marshall what age and time he came from. Malak also claimed to be "King of the Teutons." He wore dingy robes.

Background[]

Malak was the self-proclaimed "God of the Cro-Magnon" who arrived in the Land of the Lost sometimes around the devastation caused by Rick Marshall. Upon arrival, he conquered the Sleestak and took over a structure near the swamp that allowed him to flood the Sleestak egg caves in return for tribute. When the Sleestak stole the possessions of The Marshall Family to serve as a tribute, Jack Marshall went to get them back and was easily able to outwit him to get the supplies back.

  • Malak is portrayed by Richard Kiel, most famously known for the role of James Bond villain Jaws seen in "The Spy Who Loved Me" and "Moonraker".
  • While Malak's true origins and title (if any) remain unknown, it is clear he was an opportunistic barbarian not above lying, stealing, threatening, or bullying people to get what he wanted.
  • How and when Malak came to the Land of the Lost is never revealed.
