Background[]

Jackson is a native of Forth Worth, Texas in an alternate future version of the 1990's, or at least twenty years into the future from when the Marshall's became trapped in the Land.

Jackson is a hypersonic glider pilot who becomes briefly trapped in the Land when Will, tinkering with the crystal matrix Table in a Mountain Pylon, causes a time doorway to open high above the ground. Jackson's glider was re-entering Earth's atmosphere over Ecuador while returning from a routine transit between Phoenix Port and Space Station 5. His glider's tail was suddenly severed in his fall, but he fell to earth and survived when his parachute got snared in a tree by his parachute.

With the help of the Marshalls, Jackson soon managed to return via the same time doorway, but the Marshall's could not follow, since Earth's end of the time doorway is fifteen miles above the ground, and there was only one parachute.

Episode(s)[]

Notes and Trivia[]

  • In the original script, Jackson makes an off-hand remark about Texas being its own country, prompting a suspicious Rick to compare the currency in his wallet with Jackson's. He discovers that not only is Jackson from the future but from an alternate timeline where Texas was not part of the United States and oil instead of gold is the standard. (It is entirely possibly the Marshalls seen in Split Personality were from this alternate time-line.)
